REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16

The City of Summit Department of Community Programs is offering our “In Town” Recreation Basketball League. All games and practices will be held right here in Summit. The games will be officiated by carded referees. Program runs from December through mid March. Participants will receive a reversible team jersey. 


Open to All Summit Residents Grades 3-8. Teams will be formed based on a skill evaluation which take place at the times below. NO TEAM REQUESTS.

Cost: $125 per participant

  • Times of games and practices will be provided by coaches following a coaches meeting.
  • Coaches will contact all participants directly with practice and game schedule. 
  • No practice or game schedules will be available until Friday, December 9, 2022
  • Pre-season will run December 10 through December 23
  • Regular season will begin Monday, January 2 and run through Sunday, March 12

 

Scheduling Guidelines:

Grades 3-4:

  • Practice - ONE weekday (varies based on team, will be same day throughout season)
  • Games - Saturday

Grades 5-6:

  • Practice - Saturday
  • Game - Sunday 

Grade 7-8

  • Practice - TBA
  • Games - TBA

3rd/4th Grade Girls & 4th Grade Boys practices and games in the Guida Gym at Community Center 

3rd Grade Boys practices and games at Brayton School

5th/6th Grade Boys & Girls practices and games at Middle School

7th/8th Grade Boys & Girls practices and games in Investors Bank Gym at Community Center

All skills assessments to be held at Summit Community Center, 100 Morris Ave

Girls - Sunday, November 20

  • 3rd grade - 12:00-1:00 PM
  • 4th Grade - 1:00-2:00 PM
  • 5th Grade - 2:00-3:00 PM
  • 6th Grade - 3:00-4:00 PM
  • 7th Grade - 4:00-5:00 PM

Boys - Saturday, November 19

  • 3rd Grade - 3:00-4:00 PM
  • 4th Grade - 4:00-5:00 PM
  • 5th grade - 5:00-6:00 PM
  • 6th Grade - 6:00-7:00 PM
  • 7th Grade - 7:00-8:00 PM 
  • 8th Grade - 8:00-9:00 PM
