PROGRAM A: Photography Snapshots

Snapshots program is a thrilling afterschool program for young photographers. Our eight sessions will task students with crafting photos using both traditional and unconventional means. Students will train their ability to think outside the box and create images that create wonder in the viewer. Session highlights include learning to use different vantage points to change a shot, capturing the fleeting reflections of objects through a bubble, and manipulating light and shadows to create striking pictures. The class concludes with a gallery show in which students will display each of their works in print.

PROGRAM B: NASA Academy of Future Space Explorers

NASA and Mad Science collaborate to educate the next generation! Children go on a voyage of discovery with unique hands-on activities, and amazing demonstrations that explore the sun and stars, space technology, rocket science, the atmosphere, planets and moons, and more!

PROGRAM C: Science Exploration

Is your child constantly getting into things? Do they love to explore and do hands-on projects? Then this is the class for you! Your child will have a blast learning scientific concepts with a focus on S.T.E.A.M(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) and performing hands-on experiments using real child-friendly science tools.
 Projects such as: Snow that doesn't melt, Solar system mobile, Slime and Walking water

PROGRAM D: Kiddies Junior Robotics

Ready, Set, Code! By entering into our "Tinker Lab", young children will be exposed to Robotics in a fun, hands-on way. Children will be introduced to the coding, programming and designing of real, age-appropriate robots and understanding the basics of algorithms while building language and math skills as we work with sequencing, estimation and problem solving-all while having fun!
 With Robotics being the wave of the future, children who understand Robotics will be at an advantage- literally able to operate the world around them!

PROGRAM E: Magic Wizards

Have you ever watched a magician and wondered how on earth they were able to do their Magic? Magic class is your chance to find out! You will learn the secrets that only magicians know like mind reading, and how to make objects disappear and reappear. In the last class you will amaze and mystify your parents in a Magic Show where you perform your Magic Tricks. Then you get to take home the tricks so that you can amaze your friends with all the tricks that you have learned.
 It’s Magic! Learn it! Perform it! Keep it!

PROGRAM G: Fencing

Fencing is one of the top scholarship sports in the country and can greatly increase a kid’s chance of getting into the country’s top schools. Fencing provides an extra opportunity for kid’s to stand out in the college admissions process. Many of the Ivy League schools have major fencing programs and are always recruiting new members. Most fencers are intelligent and creative and apply those qualities to help them excel in the sport. Many of the top fencers also get the opportunity to travel the world as many of the international competitions are held in Europe, Asia and South America.

Come try the 8-week program and give your children an advantage in the college admission process. Your child will also be challenged mentally and physically to grow that will help them in all other areas of life. Whether you are looking to be introduced to the sport or take the sport to the next level, our coaches will help you reach your goals

PROGRAM H: School House Chess

Schoolhouse Chess brings chess pieces to life using creative and animated personalities that enable students to learn the game in a fun and exciting way. Students become fascinated with imaginative chess characters that accelerate the learning process. Our instructors bring all the materials and supplies to your school and cover the rules and strategies of chess.

PROGRAM I: Design the Cut-Out Top Spring 2022

Calling all fashion designers! Do you have a passion for fashion? With the help of Fashion First Workshops, the student designers will create the all new design the Cut-Out Top for spring. This style of top never goes out of fashion and is perfect for the spring and summer months. At the beginning of class, each designer will get to select their own fabric. You will start with sketching and rendering your design. Measuring, pinning and cutting out your design. Know how to use a sewing machine? Great! Otherwise we will teach you.
 The class fee includes all fabric, trims, notions and use of the sewing machines. If you have your own machine and want to bring it to class and use it that’s great, please do! Sew your garment together then fit the design to work for you, lastly finish the design. At the end of the classes we will hold a virtual fashion show to share with your family.
 So come join us for this fashionable class experience on Tuesdays with Fashion First Workshops!!. We’re always busy learning, having fun and meeting new friends at a distance.
 We are offering this same silhouette to both the younger earlier class and the later class. The design options are endless and dependent on your skills you can add details onto your design!
 Social distancing will be followed throughout the 8-week sessions to keep us all safe. Face masks are mandatory. Supplies will be passed out and used solely by the individual designer.
 Summit Rec and the CDC guidelines will be followed.

PROGRAM J: Drone Commander

In this thrilling and educational program, your student will be introduced to the world of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and develop a deep understanding how to control and manage this exciting technology. This workshop will give your student the chance to safely test out some of the newest advances in aerial flight and really take their knowledge of engineering to new heights!

PROGRAM K: Foundation Tennis

This Tennis class introduces beginners and those with some experience to the fundamentals of tennis. Our professional tennis coaches will ensure that players are engaged in fun, inclusive activities, in a positive learning environment.
 Players will learn tennis fundamental techniques in stroke technique, serving, court awareness, and rallying, as well as tactics and game rules. This all takes place through a series of fun tennis challenges, structured activities, and match play.

PROGRAM M: Be the Game Designer with Scratch MIT - Adventures Edition

Students will learn to code using Scratch MIT, a programming platform developed by MIT that is geared towards children. Students will design, build, test, troubleshoot and play games using this block-based code. Students will begin by creating a simple game of catch and will continue developing and improving their coding skills by building more complex games. By the end of the class, they will create their own unique games to play at home and share with family and friends. Laptop or Chromebook required.

Program N: LEGO® Robotics and Coding - Adventures 

This fun, interactive program will introduce students to coding and robotics using the LEGO® Education Robotics Construction Sets. Children will learn basic programming skills, simple engineering concepts, and the names of the robotic components. They will work in teams of 2 on guided projects building models, attaching sensors and motors, and using a computer to program the model’s behavior. Children will gain confidence and understanding as they build and code their robots.

PROGRAM Q: Mechanical Engineering Masterminds

BRIXOLOGY sets the foundation for our next generation of makers! Kids learn about different types of engineering and then team up to construct a different engineering-themed project using LEGO® bricks. PROGRAM R: Elementary Drawing by Young Rembrandts

The spring is an exciting time to be a part of a Young Rembrandts Drawing Class. This season is kicking off with playful fun lesson inspired by flowers and robots. Our students will learn how to think outside of the box as they create stylized drawings of an intricately patterned fish, a cartoon alligator and a detailed illustration featuring an aerial view from the perspective of a jet plane! PROGRAM T: Pokemania

In Snapology’s Pok mania program, students will explore the Pok mon world and practice their Pok mon training skills! They will create their own training gyms, unique battles, and even their very own generation of Pok mon. Your student will also explore some real-world science as they examine the habitats, characteristics, and needs of different Pok mon. They will do more than catch ‘em all, they will build and examine them all very closely and have a blast doing so!
